Willing to Pay the Price

When Jesus called people to discipleship, it was a call to abandon sin and self. However, many make professions of faith without seriously considering the cost of being His disciple. Christ says the cost is high and those who are not willing to pay the price are not worthy to be His disciple.  Jesus demands total allegiance and absolute devotion. We cannot take hold of Christ by faith while holding on to the things of the world. True faith includes a willingness to turn away from the world and surrender everything to the Lordship of Christ.   In Willing to Pay the Price, Pastor Gil Rugh examines what Jesus says about discipleship and the cost to follow Him. Pastor Rugh shows from Scripture how our love for Christ must be above all else, including family, friends, possessions or position in life.  Although being a disciple for Christ is a hard road of self-denial, we can praise God that those who are willing to lose their life to Christ, will gain it for all eternity.
