History of the Waldenses

The story of the Waldenses is one of the greatest spiritual sagas the world has ever known, yet few people have heard of them.  Their story deserves to be told because, in spite of the terrible persecution they have endured, their heritage is still alive and well today . . . They followed what the Bible taught and nothing else, yet were up against a church that had changed in that respect . . Their faith, however, caused them to stand up for their beliefs no matter what the odds were against them . . .

Most of this book was first published in 1829, a time when holding such beliefs was still unlawful.  It is good the author wrote it, however, because the information he chose to share was relatively fresh, and not lost and forgotten as can sometimes happen.
